I got locked up on my computer. The message that was blinking told me to call 833-306-6107 immediately. I did. There were no messages you've reached "__________" or anything. No numbers to press to get anyone. Someone answered the phone and proceeded to walk me through all these directions. They accessed my computer remotely. I don't know what kind of information they copied. I was on the phone for about an hour when the agent proceeded to tell me I was at risk of identity theft and that I needed to purchase firewall protection. I had five options...broken down by lifetime at $1299.99 down to one year $299.99. That's when I realized it was a scam. I turned off my machine and turned it back on...only to have to close the agent's session and disconnect him. My computer was ok. I then proceeded to google 833-306-6107. No results. This happened a few days ago so I tried to call the number today. All I got was a busy signal. BEWARE!!!
