Recorded voice saying there is a legal case filed against me, then connected me to a man named Michael Berr. He tried to intimidate me, and when I pressed him for information about what agency he was from, he hung up. I called him back, and he accused me of being aggressive and trying to talk over him. I told him that I was calm, and that he couldn´t freak me out or **** ** *******. He hung up again. I would say that it is a scam, as any agency (state or federal) does not speak that way to people that supposedly have a ´legal case´ filed against them. By law, details about any case filed against you must be communicated to you, and if it is not.. it will be dismissed in court due to improper notification. I would say this number, 678-894-4489, is a scam and the people calling from it are just trying to spook and scare you into thinking you are in trouble so that you will ´pay off´ any so-called outstanding debt because you are afraid of going to jail. Don´t fall for it, it is a scam. ALSO, do not answer yes to any of their questions, as they might be recording your phone call and will possibly use it against you to steal your identity.
