I NEVER had stranger calls until I contacted Quicken loans to inquire about a lower mortgage rate they advertised. I chose not to do the loan. Ever since (2 years) I have had from 5 to 40 calls per week (29 in one day) from a variety of sources. The ones I know, I have backtracked and located the source. All are sales, most are mortgage or realtors. (Jaymes Willoughby at Keller-Williams Realty is one of the worst offenders.) This number is poorly/lazily spoofed. 5432? Still, I did not answer this product of declining to do business with Quicken, so I cannot absolutely call it unsafe.
