I was called from number 347-682-3701 which comes back to Richmond County NY reporting that I was selected for a grant of $5000. Like previous commenters, they had all my information. I was given a confirmation code, and directed to call Amy Stone. I found the number on here, deduced it was a scam, and contacted the NYS Attorney General.

Sorry guys but i wired them money 2 jamaica and im an idiot for doin it if they were close i would kill them but they state to wire them 190 buks for a 5000-7000 grant. I received a phone call from a man named Richard who had a very thick middle eastern accent and he told me that I was chosen from the government to receive $5000 grant that I didnt have to do. He knew my full name and address. Asked my age. He gave me a phone number and a secret password to contact Amy Stone. I looked this up and saw all the comments so I tried to call the number that came up on my caller ID and it was a Sprint TTY relay service from hard of hearing or deaf people.

i just recieved a call from 206-249-7344 and 210-423-1190 claiming to be amy stone. they asked me to call and ask for amy stone for a government grant of french money through a russian bank and if i pay a $350 security fee, i would be wired $7000 from the federal government. they had my street address and name and who knows what other information. they have my age and i have been called about 4 times this week from this number. today (3-31-2012) is the first time i talked with they. please catch these assholes! i dont like my information to be on the open market.

I received a call stating I won 10,000 in government grants. I had to receive the money through western union???? 10k! So I said this is a scam... he said dont call the number anymore. #funny.
