Scam! Really can’t believe this is still going on and our judicial branch can’t enforce laws. I called Lisa Davis (formerly Barbara Anderson) back and she was conveniently away from the offic so I decided to toy with the representative who answered. I played dumb and interpreted the voicemail as they were willing to pay off my student loan, which I don’t have, and would accept a direct deposit or check. Kept interrupting everything she said to keep asking how she was going to pay off my $40k loan. Asked for a company name and she of course made up some bs. Asked for what type of company she worked for (Corp, llc, scorp) and she said private sector...haha. I then asked for her company's IRS EID (employer identification number), said she didn’t have one and hung up. I’ll probably get 10x the spam calls now, but it was worth wasting their time

Obvious boiler room caller. Has Indian accent, could hear background noise indicating multiple lines being used. Hung up on after calling back four times and requesting information about callers IRS Office, Employee number as assigned and other information. Stated that they were with the Criminal Response Unit which doesn't exist in the U S Treasury. When I identified myself as Law Enforcement, I was promptly sent a high pitched type of signal in the attempt to harm my hearing. Technology will allow this caller to be identified eventually and enforcement action may accrue. DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION to this caller, however it is permissible to "play" them by demanding certain bits of information that they cannot respond to; in example: What IRS office are you calling from? What is your Employee number? What is your employment title at the IRS? This can be somewhat enjoyable in the attempt to "turn the tables" on the caller. They will always answer, with the same accent and regional dialect. Obvious scam call but have fun with the caller, attempting to convince them they are being recorded and monitored.

I keep getting phone calls from this company. Sometimes someone answers, sometimes it is a recording from a man named Jim Stone. They are a national warranty company and they keep saying that this was my final chance to extend my warranty with them. I have told them several times that I am not interested and told them not to call anymore, but they still do. I have called the number back, but I just get a recording that said if I wanted to be put on the do not call list to press "1". When I press 1 they tell me to wait 48 hours for my request to be processed. I have done this about 3 times and they still call me. Now they call me more than one a day.
